Ingredients:
- Flour: 2 cups
- Milk: ½ cup
- Sugar: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- Oil: 2 teaspoons
- Water: As needed
- Yeast: 1 teaspoon
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and oil. Gradually add the yeast mixture and mix well. Slowly add water to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough into a smooth ball and place it in a bowl. Cover with a cloth and let it rise for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a round, flat shape using a rolling pin.
- Heat a skillet on the stove and grease it with a little oil or ghee. Place the rolled dough on the skillet and cook until one side turns golden. Flip it over and cook the other side until soft and fully cooked.
- Serve the naan bread hot. It tastes amazing with yogurt, korma, or any curry!
Tips & Variations:
- Sift the flour before using it for a softer naan texture.
- Adding a little yogurt to the dough enhances both flavor and softness.
