Pudding is a dish loved by people of all ages. It’s easy to make and delicious to eat. When guests are expected, pudding often becomes the go-to dessert for a special treat. Its irresistible taste makes it a favorite for everyone. While some might think making pudding at home is complicated, following the right proportions of ingredients will help you create the perfect pudding effortlessly.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups thick milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- Cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons cream
- 4 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
Instructions:
- Boil 1 liter of milk and reduce it to half its original quantity to make thick milk.
- Blend the eggs with sugar, then add the thick milk, eggs, sugar, cornflour, powdered milk, cardamom powder, and cream. Mix well until smooth.
- Take a pan, add a little water and sugar, and place it on the stove. Stir continuously until the sugar melts and turns a caramel brown color. Pour this caramel into the mold or bowl in which you’ll prepare the pudding. Let the caramel set for a while.
- Pour the egg mixture into the caramel-coated bowl. Cover the bowl with a lid. Steam it in a pot by placing it on a stand with water at the bottom. Let it cook for 30–40 minutes. After that, check with a toothpick to see if it’s done. If the toothpick comes out clean, the pudding is ready.
- Alternatively, you can cook the pudding in a pressure cooker by adding water and giving it 2–3 whistles.
- Let the pudding cool down. Run a knife around the edges of the mold to loosen it. Place a plate over the mold, press gently, and flip it upside down. Refrigerate until chilled and serve your delicious pudding.
Tips:
- You can use condensed milk instead of regular milk for a richer taste.
- Add some bread to the mixture for a unique texture and flavor twist if desired.
